Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) are prestigious, integrated, international study programmes offered by a consortium of higher education institutions across Europe. They are fully funded by the European Union and are open to students worldwide, including Pakistan. The programmes allow you to study at multiple European universities and earn a joint or double degree.

Eligibility criteria

  • Any nationality (including Pakistani)
  • Completed Bachelor's degree before the programme start date
  • Usually 3+ years of undergraduate study in a relevant field
  • English proficiency (IELTS 6.5+ typically required)
  • Strong academic record and relevant motivation

How to apply — step by step

  1. 1 Browse the EMJMD catalogue at eacea.ec.europa.eu or studyineurope.eu
  2. 2 Select programmes matching your Bachelor's field and research interests
  3. 3 Carefully read each programme's eligibility criteria and IELTS requirements
  4. 4 Prepare: motivation letter (tailored to each program!), academic CV, reference letters (2–3), transcripts
  5. 5 Apply directly through each programme's dedicated portal (deadlines vary Jan–Feb)
  6. 6 If selected for scholarship: coordinate dual-country visa strategy (you'll study in 2+ countries)
